Body of girl recovered from Shaka's Head railway line
Detectives have launched an investigation into the alleged murder of a young girl in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
The five-year-old was reported missing in Shaka's Head.
KZN police spokesperson, Thenjiswa Ngcobo says her body was discovered at the Shakas Head railway line on Sunday.
Ngcobo says the body was at an advanced stage of decomposition.
"She was recovered with multiple injuries to the head and the body.
"Reports indicate that the child was reported missing a week ago and an extensive search was undertaken by police and various role players."
