The best of Twitter's Trump parody accounts

Donald Trump is on the verge of being inaugurated as the newest President of the US. In recent months, the president-elect has taken to social media site Twitter, like a kid to candy. And with over 20 million followers - it's evident that a lot of people are eager to hear what he has to say. His controversial musings have become so popular - they've inspired a slew of Trump parody accounts. These are some of our favourites.

@BRIDGETTRUMPSD1

Bridget Trump's Diary takes the president-elect's Twitter ramblings, and wittily teams them with literary heroiene Bridget Jones's neurotic diary entries.

The tweets span a number of topics that Trump has been vocal on - including his distrust of the media, his relationship with Russia's Vladimir Putin, and Meryl Streep's poignant Golden Globes speech.

@TheFakeTrump

This parody account takes the mickey out of the US's newest president, and his general world views. Trump's own Twitter account is tagged in each hilarious tweet - though the president-elect himself hasn't yet responded to any of the (many) criticisms and insults.

@RealDonalDrumpf is another account that's gained some momentum - with more than 67000 followers.

This Twitter account describes itself as: 'A 100% classy Donald Trump parody account. Tweeting under the actual family name since 2013.'

@MatureTrumpTwtsThis alternative parody account envisions how a mature, more presidential Trump should tweet. @MatureTrumpTwts takes tweets from @realDonaldTrump and re-imagines them - so they sound more like a statesman tweeting his opinions, should.

But let's face it - nothing can really trump Trump.

His personal Twitter account still remains the most entertaining. And he always seems to have the last word...
