Bail bid continues for KZN taxi boss murder-accused

The two men charged with the murder of a taxi boss will continue with their bail application in the Durban Magistrate's Court today.

Former KwaDukuza Taxi Association chairperson, Sophie Zulu was gunned down in Johannes Nkosi Street in Durban central in March.

Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the investigating officer in the matter is expected to take to the stand today. Zwane says the officer will oppose bail.
"The suspects were arrested by the provincial taxi violence task team after they were linked to the killing of the former chairperson of the KwaDukuza Taxi Association. The suspects were then arrested and charged for murder," he said.
