Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Authorities are still trying to determine the
cause of Tuesday morning's deadly bus crash in Tongaat.

The 30-seater vehicle veered off the R102 before plunging over the Tongaat River Bridge.
Three women were killed and 12 people injured.
Search and rescue officials set up a rope and pulley system to bring the survivors back to the top.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate's Sindy Msimang said officials have been combing the scene.

"Very hard for us to really say what could be the problem, but according to the officer who is on scene, these are just speculations. It's not confirmed.
"He says, from where he's standing, the tires of the vehicle they look okay. So, we can rule out that it could be the tire burst, and he is just speculating.
"It could happen that he lost control, but then we have to get further details with regards to that," Msimang explained.
