Assault case against Julius Malema back in court
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
The assault case against EFF leader, Julius Malema and MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is back in the Randburg Magistrate's Court.
They're accused of pushing a police officer at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral in 2018.
Johannes Venter testified last year that he was tasked with controlling access to the burial site at Fourways Memorial Park and that he had refused entry to Malema's vehicle because it didn't have a permit.

The State's second witness, the park's Operational Manager, Deon Klingbiel was in the dock this morning.
State attorney Yusuf Baba says they're dealing with concerns about the length of the video submitted as evidence.
"The state will now be giving the three witnesses in order to comply thereof. It is well-known before this court there was an issue concerning a short video and a long video and it is important for the purposes of a complete record that the state leads the evidence in that particular respect."
