Arrest in Phoenix triple murder

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the triple murder that sent shockwaves through the community of Phoenix, north of Durban this week.
A relative found the bodies of a mother and her daughter in an apartment on Longcroft Drive, yesterday morning.
A third body - that of the mother’s second daughter - was discovered while detectives were combing the scene for evidence.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says Phoenix detectives worked tirelessly around the clock to trace their suspect.
He is expected to appear before a magistrate next week.
