President Zuma probably feels gutted: analyst

The ANC top six reportedly held an urgent meeting to discuss a way forward after the Constitutional Court handed down judgement on the Nkandla matter yesterday.

The court ruled that the Public Protector's findings are binding and found that President Jacob Zuma and Parliament's failure to implement these at his private home in northern KZN was in violation of their constitutional duties.
Meanwhile a political analyst feels that after the judgement yesterday, Zuma probably feels gutted.

Anthony Egan says that the president probably feels like he's being presented in a poor light.
"Notice what happened with the court case, he didn't say that he wasn't going to pay back the money, his defence was very, very good.
"I mean, give his defence council credit. They indicated they were prepared to pay back the money so in a sense perhaps he's reconciled himself to it," he said.
