AfriForum's Willie Spies says they're applying for an urgent interdict in the North Gauteng High Court.
"This is being done despite the fact that the defending court case that will be heard in March, where the practice of Eskom of punishing innocent ratepayers for the wrongs of the municipalities - will be tested," he said.

Meanwhile, Eskom's Khulu Phasiwa says they will leave it in the hands of the court.
"AfriForum and Solidarity and organizations like that have always tried to do this before. And in some of the cases they have actually lost. So there's a precedence already on this matter, so we will go to court to defend ourselves in this matter," he said.
