ActionSA leaves Multi-Party Charter
Updated | By Bulletin
ActionSA has exited the Multi-Party Charter, citing the breaching of the agreement by other parties.

Chairperson Michael Beaumont says some have reneged on their deal, formerly known as the 'Moonshot Pact', by choosing to work with the ANC.
He's confirmed ActionSA will not collaborate with the ANC, but adds others are free to make their own decisions.

Beaumont says ActionSA is now focusing on what it can offer to improve governance rather than criticising other parties.
"We will be the unofficial voice of the opposition in Parliament, because we must be very clear: political parties that receive the gifts of positions and perks and privileges in Parliament, even in the opposition, are now bound in perpetuity [to]the government from which they receive those positions."
