Accused in metro cop’s murder denies ‘confession’
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
The case against three men accused of murdering eThekwini metro cop Errol Ogle continued in the Durban High Court on Wednesday.

Ogle was killed almost two years ago while trying to stop a hijacked truck.
This week, the court began hearing a trial within a trial to ascertain the admissibility of their alleged confessions.
Accused Sabelo Mncube responded to a statement read out in court on Tuesday by a Hawks investigator in which he allegedly confessed to the crime.
He firmly denied ever saying he wanted to "clear his conscience," insisting he never committed any crime.
According to the statement, Mncube worked at Chester Meat Wholesalers and operated as a loan shark.
He allegedly admitted to monitoring a targeted truck en route to Pinetown and feeding the hijackers information.
The statement also claimed Mncube was in contact with co-accused Phakamani Mpanza on the night of the murder.
Mncube admitted in court that he did call Mpanza several times that night, but he claimed the calls were only to discuss a debt Mpanza owed him.
