8-year-old girl killed while attempting to cross N2
An eight-year-old girl has died after being knocked down by a car in Umhlanga.
Medi Response spokesperson Paul Herbst says the girl was with her family when she was hit on the N2 just before the Umhlanga off-ramp on Friday.
"A family of four tried to cross the busy N2. Unfortunately, an eight-year-old that was accompanying her mom was struck by a light motor vehicle."

"On arrival by Medi Response Advanced Life Support paramedics, unfortunately, the child showed no sign of life and was declared dead by paramedics.
"The N2 southbound lane is significantly affected, and the right-hand lane is currently closed."
