51 days until matric finals

There are 51 days left before the class of 2017 sits for the final matric exams.
There's pressure on the province to produce better results, after faring relatively poorly over the last few years.
Education officials in the province have set a pass rate target of 76 percent for 2017, following the previous two years' showing of 69.5% and 60.7% respectively.

MEC Mthandeni Dlungwana is confident they are on course to achieving their target.
"We think that we are ready and we feel that with the work we have done, we are indeed going to register and improvement on the pass rate for he 2017 academic year," he says.
The department says 154 000 KZN matrics are expected to write exams this year.
