Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Police have arrested 13 municipal workers for
breaching a court order against the DSW strike.
The protesters, aged between 36 and 59, were detained outside eThekwini's offices on Electron Road yesterday.
DSW employees affiliated with the municipal workers union SAMWU downed tools a week ago despite the court interdict disrupting services across the city.
KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the group is facing charges of damaging infrastructure and malicious property damage.

"They allegedly put sand on the floor and burnt trees. They were forcing other employees out of the offices and damaged the gate. The arrested suspects will appear before the Durban court on Wednesday."
On Monday, KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube said as an additional security measure, police and private security will escort municipal teams to service delivery points until the dispute over pay is resolved.
