The wait for the new season of Netflix's hit series, 'Wednesday', is almost over.

Season two drops this week, and music superstar Lady Gaga is set to make a special appearance.

Gaga will play Rosaline Rotwood, a teacher at Nevermore Academy, the school where Jenna Ortega's character, Wednesday Addams, appears.

According to Variety, sources confirm the singer will also release a new song, 'Dead Dance', for the new season.

Neither Lady Gaga nor Netflix has confirmed the news, but she has dropped a few easter eggs on her social media pages.

One picture Gaga shared with Ortega in June was captioned '#dead'.

The song will reportedly be released in September, when part two of the new season is released. The first part will debut on Wednesday, August 6.

However, Gaga's character is only expected to appear in part two, which premieres on September 3.

Gaga's involvement in 'Wednesday' season two is somewhat fan-made.

During season one, Wednesday performed a dance that instantly went viral on social media. She choreographed the dance herself.

Fans recreated the 'Wednesday Dance' with Lady Gaga's hit song, 'Bloody Mary'.

Several stars, including Kim Kardashian and Madonna, participated in the challenge. It wasn't long before Gaga herself hopped onto the trend.

Ortega stars in 'Wednesday' alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen and Victor Dorobantu as 'Thing'.

Actress Joanna Lumley joins the season two cast as Grandmama Hester Frump, and Emma Myers returns as Wednesday's bestie, Enid Sinclair.

'Wednesday' is based on the Addams family characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams.

Filmmaker Tim Burton, who was considered for 1991's 'The Addams Family' movie starring Christina Ricci as Wednesday, directed the first four episodes of season one.

He will also helm four episodes in the new season.

'Wednesday' has already been renewed for season three. Watch the trailer for season 2 below.
