South African media personality, Jo-Ann Strauss, will be hosting the final shows of both the Mister and Miss Supranational 2023 pageants.

Miss Supranational President Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski made the announcement on Friday, June 2.

Jo-Ann, a former Miss South Africa, is the perfect woman for the job.

"As a television host for many years, Strauss has interviewed some global superstars such as Charlize Theron, Antonio Banderas and George Clooney. She has also hosted an event for King Charles III and presented the opening of the FIFA World Cup in German for a major German television network," Miss Supranational said in a statement.

Jo-Ann, who is also a mother of four, says she is "extremely excited" to be travelling to Nowy Sacz in Malopolska, Poland, for the shows.

"The values of the organization, especially the ‘Aspirational, Inspirational’ tagline align with my own values and I am so excited to be sharing the experience with candidates that will be vying to become the next brand ambassadors for the Miss and Mister Supranational Organization,” she said.

Jo-Ann Strauss Husband

Jo-Ann has been doing a lot of local and international travel in the past few months. She travelled to Mauritius with her husband, Michael Held, and their four children in late March.

The couple was celebrating their 11-year wedding anniversary

They renewed their vows while their children looked on.

"When we showed our kids the photos last year on our 10th anniversary, they asked why we didn't include them in our wedding. Today we'll fix that," she wrote on Instagram.

Jo-Ann was afraid that she wouldn't fit into her wedding dress especially after having four children.

"The dress is the same one I wore 11 years ago by my dear friend Gideon and his Gianpaulo @gideon.studio and the husband is the same incredibly supportive man who stole my heart 18 years ago. May love make you foolish always," she said.

The family stayed at the same resort Jo-Ann and her mother visited when she won the Miss South Africa crown.

"Walking into the same resort I came to 21 years ago for my 21st birthday with my mom in Mauritius @sugarbeachmauritius. The trip was part of my @official_misssa prize package and I chose to celebrate with my mom and this was her first trip out of SA. Feels so good to be back."
