Elections 2016: Update on eThekwini results
Results are still pouring in to the IEC Results Centre at the Durban ICC.
After delays in the release of results for eThekwini, provisional results for the metro became available from yesterday and 76% of the voting process has since been completed.
In eThekwini, the ANC leads with 56.43% of votes while the DA so far has 30.35% of votes.
The IFP which appears to have cashed in on the NFP's mistake has taken control of several municipalities in northern KZN. The IFP has so far won seven councils in the province and 20.23% of the vote.
The NFP was barred from taking part in the polls for failing to pay it's registration fee on time.
