Zuma is the worst leader of the ANC: Pityana
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
ANC stalwart Sipho Pityana says the ANC is at an all-time low.
Criticising President Jacob Zuma's leadership and government over the past few months, Pityana says Of all the ANC leaders that it has had since 1912, this is the worst leader of the ANC. He hasn't got an understanding of the ANC's founding principles against tribalism and fostering unity. He's a parochialist." Pityana says about president Jacob Zuma.
Pityana's explains what the final straw that broke the camel's back was for him.

"I'm thoroughly and deeply disappointed that our president is incapable of marshalling that sense of the inner-depth of his conscience to be able to reflect and say this is not what the people who got me here wanted me to do. To dish out and hand over the country to a group of foreigners to do as they wish, to raid the coffers of the state."
However, political analyst Ralph Mathekga says all the country's problems should not be put on the shoulders of the president alone.
"We need to recognise that Zuma was democratically elected by the ANC and into the society. What is it that South Africans saw in Zuma? My answer is very simple - it goes to the society that brought about Zuma. That society needs to own up to that turn it has taken when it elected Zuma so that it doesn't make the same mistake," he said.
