'The ANC is at odds with itself'
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A political analyst feels there is no cohesion within the ANC when it comes out with different responses to the same issues.
This comes after the ANC chief whip in Parliament, Jackson Mthembu called on the ruling party's national executive committee (NEC) should step down.
Mthembu says the party needs new leadership to take it to the 2019 national elections and that the current leadership is not fit to steer the party in that right direction.

Sanusha Naidoo says the party is at odds with itself.
"The ANC is finding very difficult to recalibrate itself given that you have this diverse set of issues and voices that are coming out in different ways and expressing themselves. This is creating different tensions within the party," she said.
