Zuma should sell parts of Nkandla as repayment: economist
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
An economist feels President Jacob Zuma should sell some of his homestead to pay for non-security upgrades to his private home.

This after the Zuma family claimed in reports yesterday that they cannot afford the R7.8-million bill.
The President's younger brother Michael was quoted in the Sunday Times saying he did not know where Zuma would get the money to pay.
Dawie Roodt feels Jacob Zuma is far from earning his way back into the good books of many South Africans as he has not been behaving in a manner that is satisfying to the citizens of this country.
"My view is if this is true - this is really an adamant president asking for extra money - he is clearly not capable of being called a president of a country. I think the president should resign, sell his homestead and pay the money he owes the taxpayer," he said.
