Two killed, 10 hurt after bus and car collide in Durban's North Coast road

Two people have tragically lost their lives while 10 others were hurt after a bus and a car collided on North Coast road near Stanhope place in Durban early this morning.

It is not clear what caused the two vehicles to collided. One of those who died was a driver of the small car. Netcare 911's Athlenda Mathe says the driver's passenger was found in a critical condition.
"The passenger of the car, also a man, was found to be in a critical condition. While paramedics were attending to him he went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics worked tirelessly to resuscitate the man," she said.
"We can confirm that multiple life saving techniques were used but sadly there was nothing more that could be done for him. Both men were declared dead on scene," Mathe said.
"The 10 people who sustained minor injuries were all passengers from the bus," she said.
