TAC members demanding to see UN Secretary-General
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
Members of the Treatment Action Campaign are threatening to interrupt the start of the International AIDS Conference if UN Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon does not accept their memorandum and address them.

Members have held a march through the Durban City Centre to City Hall over what they say is a disconnect between political promises to end AIDS and the realities on the ground.
They say there were expecting Ban to receive their memorandum but have grown tired of waiting for him.
They've now marched to the ICC.
The TAC's Andrew Mosane says they will block the doors of the convention centre until they are given attention by the UN chief.
"We are not going to allow for the opening of the conference to happen until Ban Ki-Moon comes outside and addresses the people of South Africa.
"The conference is going to be closed until Ban Ki-Moon comes outside and addresses these people. He invited us, we honoured the invite - he needs to come outside as we extended our invitation," she said.
