Snake catcher's 'dream call out' in Westville
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
It's not often that one discovers two giant snakes in combat in their backyard.

A local snake catcher who was called to a development site in a Westville residential area captured the moment on camera.
Founder of KZN Amphibian and Reptile Conservation, Nick Evans received a call out on Thursday after two black mambas were spotted on a construction site on Westborough Drive.
Evan says a group of workers discovered the reptiles - which were 2,5-metres long each - whilst clearing vegetation on property, which bordered the Palmiet Nature Reserve.
After DNA samples were taken, the snakes were then released back into the reserve.
Durban residents are once again advised to always contact the relevant authorities when in an encounter with the species.
