Planned protest in support of Gordhan to go ahead tomorrow
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
A protest gathering planned for tomorrow in Durban in support of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his two co-accused, is set to continue - despite the fraud charges against them being dropped.

Public outcry has been notable in recent weeks from different organisations, civil societies and business owners.
The Active Citizens’ Movement says the Durban gathering will take place at the Gugu Dlamini Park.

The ACM's Yousuf Vawda says the matter against the three was handled unconstitutionally.
"The issue is not just about those three individuals that have been charged. It has to do with the way in which the prosecuting authoriy is selectively charging some people and not charging other people - and that's actually unfair, and not what our institution should be doing," he said.
Former NPA boss Mxolisi Nxasana is one of the people expected to be part of the protest.
He was unceremoniously removed as NPA head after allegations about this past brushes with the law were said to have affected his security clearance.
