Prasa to get Dalbridge tracks cleaned up after traveller complaints

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa says they are working with municipal officials to clean up the train tracks at Dalbridge, south of Durban.

There have been problems on the route between the Durban Station and Scottburgh, which goes via Dalbridge.
Newswatch has received complaints about the state of the tracks.
One traveller says she'd been on the Holiday Express train over the Easter holidays and noticed piles of rubbish and people living near the bridge.
Spokesperson for Prasa in KwaZulu-Natal, Zama Nomnganga says vagrants have also found shelter under the bridge there.

Spokesperson for Prasa in KwaZulu-Natal, Zama Nomnganga says vagrants have also found shelter under the bridge there.
"They have created their residence under the bridge and some of them litter along our tracks. This paints a bad picture for travellers, especially the tourists who travel by train in this area,'' he said.
The Holiday Express takes tourists on a train tour along the north coast.
The trip usually lasts an hour-and-a-half.
