POLL: Penalties for beach pollution?

It could be a two-week wait before the eThekwini Municipality gives an all clear for four of Durban beaches. Umgeni/Mangrove, Beachwood, Virginia and Glenashley beaches were closed yesterday after medical waste washed up on the shores. City officials say a health inspection is underway as well as an investigation on the source of the waste.
