Police in Pietermaritzburg say they are closing in on those behind the murder of a woman on the N3 last week.
Sindisiwe Shelembe's car was shot at on Thursday night near Townhill.
The 31-year-old was found in her bullet-ridden vehicle by paramedics. She had a gun shot wound to the head and was declared dead on the scene.
Spokesperson for the Pietermaritzburg police, Mthokozisi Ngobese says her family is still in absolute shock.
"We are following up on information and the investigating team is right on the heels of the suspects," he said.
"So in no time, the suspects will be arrested," Ngobese said.
