Pedestrian killed on Umgeni Road
A man has died after being hit by a car on Umgeni Road in the early hours of this morning.
It is unclear what the man had been doing on the road leading up to the accident. It is believed he had succumbed to his head injuries.
When paramedics arrived there was nothing more they could do to save him and he was declared dead on scene.
In a separate incident three people sustained serious injuries following a collision between two cars on the N2, near Gateway. One of the vehicles, a bakkie, overturned during the collision.
All three were stabilized on scene and rushed to hospital. Both accidents were attended by Crisis Medical and police will investigate.
