It's understood that the school has experienced disruptions in the past two weeks relating to drugs.

School children and their parents have gathered in the courtyard where both parties have been invited to air their grievances.

Seven student representatives speaking on behalf of the learners raised concerns primarily about the physical and verbal abuse from the school's security guard who they allege insults them and at times beats them.

They've also raised concerns over the lack of water at the school.

The students added that complaints to teachers and the school governing body fall on deaf ears. Inkosi yaKwaNyuswa, uNdabezitha uNgcobo who's moderating the intervention, says urgent action is required  - warning that if the situation does not change it will negatively impact the future of the learners.
