The Automobile Association says consumers can expect yet another fuel price hike next month.

The AA's Spokesperson, Layton Beard, says according to their predictions, petrol will go up by 48 cents a litre, diesel by 64 cents a litre, while illuminating paraffin will cost 57 cents more a litre.
Earlier this month, petrol went up by 44 cents, and diesel by 22 cents a litre.

Beard says the recent political developments are expected to put more pressure on fuel prices before month-end.
"One, the increase in international oil prices and two the depreciation of the rand against the US dollar. Both of these factors are combining to ensure that at the end of October, we believe the petrol and fuel prices will go up," he said.
