LISTEN: UniZulu Deputy VC says management are investigating fake degree scandal

The University of Zululand says its doors are open to address any queries around fake degrees.

Members of senior management have been briefing the media in Empangeni today.
The university’s been responding to a number of issues raised in the media - including student unrest, degrees for sale, sex scandals, and grievances by members of workers union – NEHAWU.

Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Neil Garrod says the issue around fake degrees was identified as a major problem in an Administrator’s report.
The university has two campuses, namely, Richards Bay and KwaDlangezwa - with a total of 16 000 students.
Professor Garrod says while the academic programme has resumed, recent violence and vandalism has again led to the
