KZN Ezemvelo to re-evaluate security systems at Hluhluwe
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife says as with any incident, they will be reviewing their security processes following the mauling to death by a lioness of a worker in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park.

Forty-five-year-old Vusimuzi Kubeka was attacked on Monday morning as he started up the engine that pumps water into the purification plant that provides water to nearby camps.
Officials say the lioness had been sick and was subsequently put down following the incident.
Ezemvelo CEO David Mabunda is visiting Kubeka's family in Ezimambeni in Imfolozi today.
He says they have not had an incident like this in about three decades.

"I think our processes and our systems are good but nothing is foolproof and accidents are prone to happen at any time. This was one of those freak accidents.
"Nonetheless, we will get the team to look at whether our standards are still up to scratch. If there are lapses, we will intervene and fix them," he said.
