KZN communities kept in the dark on Premier's fate
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Communities across KwaZulu-Natal are waiting to find out more on the fate of KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu.

Reports emerged on Friday evening that Mchunu was set lose his job in an imminent provincial Cabinet reshuffle.
Speculation is rife that Mchunu's been given until today to resign.
The ANC’s KZN structures would not confirm or deny the reports, saying they don't want to become the face of the rumours.

MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Willies Mchunu was identified as the person who’d replace Senzo Mchunu for the remainder of his term of office.
Adding to the speculation, the MEC attended yesterday’s National Prayer Day at Growthpoint Kings Park in Durban in the Premier’s place.
MEC Mchunu said he was unaware of any Cabinet reshuffles or that he was going to replace the Premier.
''If I have never been told, I can just say rumours remain rumours, but in respect of the issue as a whole of whether there is going to be a Premier and reshuffling those matters are not within my competence. I'm simply an MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison,'' he said.
