The KZN Growth Coalition has appealed to leadership of eThekwini Municipality to ensure no money allocated in the 2016/17 budget is wasted through abuse.

Mayor James Nxumalo presented the city's R41.6-billion budget at the Durban International Convention Centre today.
Coordinator for the Coalition Andrzej Kiepiela has welcomed the budget, stressing that attention needs to be given to important projects such as the Integrated Rapid Transport Network in the city.
He says compared to other metros, Durban is falling behind because of delays.
"We know we're going into a silly period where elections are, in a democracy, are appreciated. Whatever you say or do, please remember your city, province and country comes first. So when you argue, pontificate on stage remember this," he said.
The public will be consulted on the budget before it is approved next month.
