EFF rejects Zuma's Nkandla proposal
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Julius Malema says the EFF will never agree to any Nkandla settlement that disregards the mandate of the Public Protector.

Malema says they reject President Jacob Zuma's proposal to the Constitutional Court to pay back a portion of the Nkandla money.
The registrar of the ConCourt has given the EFF and the DA who are both preparing to argue the matter in that court until 4pm tomorrow afternoon to reply to Zuma's offer.
Public Protector Thuli Madonsela found in 2014 that Zuma was liable to pay a portion of the non-security upgrades at Nkandla.

Speaking at a briefing in Johannesburg, Malema told journalists Madonsela's findings are binding.
"We're not going to agree to any settlement which doesn't reaffirm the powers of the Public Protector and President Zuma should agree in the settlement that by failing to implement the remedial action of the Public Protector, he was in breach of the Constitution and the Oath of Office," he said.
Malema has also accused Zuma of buying time with the settlement until he makes it out of office without facing the music.
