Domestic worker mauled by two pitbulls in Newlands West

A domestic worker has been left in a critical condition after she was mauled by her employers two pitbulls in Newlands West, Durban, this afternoon.

Spokesperson for Netcare 911, Athlenda Mathe, says paramedics were called to Arkwest Road to attend
to the woman.
Mathe says it is not clear what lead to the attack.
"When we arrived on scene we found paramedics from another emergency service already attending to the woman. Our paramedics then joined in to stabilize the patient. Once stabilized, she was transported to a nearby hospital, in a critical condition for further medical care. At this stage, the information that we have is that the lady is a domestic worker at the house with the two pitbulls," she said.
