Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Police in Ladysmith have discovered a dagga plantation at a homestead in St Chads today.

Officers received a tip-off about the drug being cultivated on what was meant to be a maize field.
Officers immediately got to work and began uprooting the more than 5-thousand plants. They were then destroyed.
The dagga has an estimated street value of about R500 000. No one has been arrested at this stage but police are said to be following up leads.
