Chris Hani killer, Janusz Walus granted parole
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Janusz Walus, the man convicted of murdering Chris Hani, will be released on parole.
Walus shot and killed Hani in the driveway of his Dawn Park, Boksburg, home on April 10, 1993.
In April, last year, Justice Minister Michael Masutha reportedly denied Walus parole.
The judge had refused him parole on the basis that there is consultation with the SA Communist Pary and Chris Hani's family despite being given the go ahead by the Parole Board.
Clive Derby-Lewis, who provided the gun which was used to kill Hani outside his Boksburg home in 1993, was granted medical parole in May last year.
