Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
Police are investigating two cases of culpable homicide following an alleged hit and run incident on the M4 Ruth First Highway near Blue Lagoon in Durban.
Two men were killed when they were struck by a car while changing a tyre in the emergency lane on Wednesday evening.
Cameron Chetty had been with the victims at the time.
He's told Newswatch he entered the car to charge his phone when he heard a loud bang.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Officers say the suspect had been driving a black car on the northbound carriageway that's heading from Durban towards Umhlanga.
