4 killed in horrific northern KZN crash
A horrific accident between Newcastle and Dannhauser in northern KZN has claimed the lives of four people.
Transport officials say three school children and their driver lost their lives in a head-on collision between a VW Polo and a Rav4 on the the R-621.
Spokesperson Zinhle Mngomezulu says all the victims had been travelling in the VW Polo. She says one person from the Rav4 was seriously hurt.
The exact cause of the crash is still unknown.
Four counts of culpable homicide are being investigated. Mngomezulu says traffic is moving past the scene.
