3 killed in N2 crash near Izingolweni
Three people have died after their vehicle collided with a truck on the N2 highway in southern KZN.
KZN Emergency Medical Services' Robert Mckenzie says the crash happened near Izingolweni.
He says fire and rescue services had to use the jaws of life to free the men from the wreckage.
"The exact cause of the crash is not yet known and will be investigated by the police. The three men that had passed away where entrapped inside the vehicle and they had to use the jaws of life to free them," he said.
Officials from the Hibiscus Municipality are advising against any travel where possible while those already on the roads [particularly towards Kokstad] are being urged to be extremely careful due to rainy conditions.
