Just call her Dr. Swift! New York University has decided to award Taylor Swift with an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree for her contribution to music.

The 'All Too Well' singer will receive her doctorate along with the class of 2022 on May 18. The 32-year-old will also be delivering an address to graduates at the ceremony.

The commencement will be taking place at Yankee Stadium. Taylor's official title will be Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa.

"An 11-time Grammy winner, Ms. Swift is one of the most prolific and celebrated artists of her generation. She is the only female artist in history to win the music industry’s highest honor, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, three times," NYU said in a statement.

The university also took note of the many awards Taylor has won throughout her career.

"Her many awards and distinctions include being the most awarded artist ever in American Music Awards’ history along with being named Artist of the Decade... and Billboard’s first-ever and only two-time winner of the Woman of the Decade Award. She is the only solo artist this century to have three albums reach No. 1 in one year."

Earlier this year, NYU launched a course on Taylor's career and her cultural impact.

The university's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music introduced the course in January.

Students were able to "deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artist and a celebrity" during the course.

The course was taught by Rolling Stone magazine writer Brittany Spanos. Other stars whose cultural impact were dissected in university classes include 'Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and David Beckham.
