Damon recalls his angriest moment of 2017

It was a story which caused outrage and controversy amongst many when it was published earlier in March this year. 

A mother in China was seen on video kicking and physically abusing her child in public after the baby refused to stop crying. Not only was I disgusted by this mom's behaviour, but who in the world who film this and, in essence, be a part of this violence? To make matters worse, she was let off the hook with just a verbal warning - where's the justice?

When I saw the footage initially I actually could not believe my eyes that someone would openly do this to a child - someone that a mother is expected to show love and tenderness towards. I was outraged to the point that I had to walk away from my laptop and take a walk to calm my nerves. I am normally not a person who gets angry quickly but this just pushed my over the edge. 

I cannot call this woman a mother, all I can say is that she is a despicable excuse for a human who deserves to spend the rest of her life behind bars for her actions.

You are welcome to watch the video here if you have the heart to, but I refused to place it in this article. I refuse to upset sensitive viewers, and myself, yet again. However, I stand by what I said back in March - if you see abuse or violence happening in any shape or form, report it and save a life. 

Lets stop standing down and start rising up against those despicable people, like this woman, who harm the innocent.
