Whether it’s sparkly, a bright colour or a nude tone, lip gloss adds a touch of glam to your look. It’s a great moisturiser and the perfect finishing touch.

The good news is that making your own lip gloss is super easy and takes just a few minutes. Not only can you save some money making it yourself, but you’ll also be using natural ingredients.

All you need is:
Coconut oil
Essential oil for scent
Lip brush
Lip gloss container
Non- toxic crayons / old lipstick. (NB: Do not use crayons containing lead. Safe crayons include those made of paraffin wax. If you don’t have crayons or an old lipstick, you can use any safe and natural colourants, or even some eyeshadow).

How to make the gloss:
Heat the coconut oil in the microwave for one minute.
Add crayon or lipstick into the coconut oil.
Mix until the crayon has dissolved.
Add a pinch of the essential oil for scent.
Pour into a lip gloss container or any small container that you like.
Refrigerate for one minute.
Apply using the lip brush.
