Thank you, South Africa! #HandsOfHope and The Sharks came together in true Ubuntu spirit
We are inspired! Thank you for coming together and for all the love.
As we reach the end of a successful day, we really are filled with hands of hope in rebuilding our communities. The civil unrest tried to break us as a nation but in true South African spirit, we all came together and raised a total of R1,327,481.
The team were excited to chat to you all during the telethon, receiving your pledges, and getting to hear your stories - it has been so inspiring. This is why we do what we do and as East Coast Radio, we want to take this opportunity to say thank you.
Thank you for showing us the true spirit of coming together, the true nature of being South African. We had the Kearsney Boys Choir that reinvigorated us with their electric performances and we even had the Beast pay us a visit.
But with everything, it was truly an honour to have everyone together, socially distanced under one tent, trying to bring some love out of all the ashes.
