#BigFavour: Nomfundo finally gets her opportunity to study

The only thing 20-year-old Nomfundo wanted in her life was an opportunity to study, and thanks to the Big Favour, her dreams have now come true.

Listen to Thursday's Big Favour, or read the details under the podcast.

I received a mail from Nomfundo asking if there was anything I could do to make her dream of studying come true. She is a bright, vivacious 20-year-old who lives in Ntuzuma with her mother and sisters.

The family lost their father and husband 10-years-ago, and ever since then, Nomfundo’s mom has been trying her best to keep the family afloat. Nomfundo’s dream is to study, but her mom can barely provide for her children – let alone pay for any tertiary education.

When I asked her what she wanted to study, she beamed as she mentioned 'Information Technology'. She has many friends in the same field so she’ll also have all the support she needs - that's if she can just make her dream become a reality.

I contacted Jay Ramnundlall, the CEO of Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology because when it comes to Information Technology, there is no other institution that can compare.

And just like that, Jay handed over a bursary to the value of R20,000 to a hugely excited, very weepy, and incredibly overwhelmed  Nomfundo. Thank you, Richfield, for making her dream come true.

Good luck, Nomfundo. Make sure you work hard and make us proud!
