PICS: Formation of Tropical Cyclone Dineo

A tropical storm that may affect SA is currently off the southern coast of Mozambique, on the coastal areas of Inhambane and Masinga.
The worst affected parts of Mozambique will see wind speeds in excess of 200 kilometres per hour.
As Dineo continues to strengthen and move toward Mozambique, heavy rainfall, strong surf and hurricane-force winds are expected. Weather authorities say the cyclone - will land along the east coast of Mozambique on February 15 at 16h00.

Strong thunderstorms spiraling into the heart of Tropical Cyclone Dineo were captured by NASA's Terra satellite yesterday - as it continued to strengthen in the Mozambique Channel.

The SA Weather Services says a spin of the phenomenon will affect South Africa with a possibility of heavy rain in the eastern parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga while the far northern coastline of KZN - including Jozini, Makhathini and Hluhluwe - will experience rain accompanied by windy conditions.
Adverse weather conditions will affect those parts of South Africa from Thursday.
