Updated | By Jayshree Parasuramen
ECR Traffic Reporter Jayshree Parasuramen has shared five tips that all motorists need to know before hitting the roads on Black Friday.
Black Friday is nearly upon us, and traffic is expected to be high during the day.
Before getting ready to dash out for those amazing shopping deals, you need be aware of a few things.
To help you out, I've put together a list of my top five tips that are bound to help motorists on one of the busiest shopping days of the year
- Do not leave goods purchased visible in your vehicle, especially if your vehicle is in a parking lot. Ensure your goods are locked in the boot of your car.
- Leave a few minutes early, stay focused on the road, and remain calm, keeping your eyes open for other vehicles or pedestrians that may be in a rush or careless.
- Lots of accidents take place in the carpark. Try to park away from congestion or furthest away from the main entrance to avoid any trolley dings or minor accidents from shoppers that are in a crazy hurry.
- Carry snacks and water in your vehicle as you may be in traffic indefinitely.
- Put away your cell phone, and concentrate on the road. Traffic is expected to be at high volumes during the day.
As always, drive safely and stay alert.
