UPDATE: Shaka's Head crash death toll rises to 16

Newswatch has just learnt that the 16th victim passed away in hospital.
15 fatalities were confirmed yesterday after a taxi veered off the N2 freeway and down an embankment before landing on a railway line.
The wreckage was then struck by a train. View photos from the scene yesterday here.
KwaZulu-Natal Transport MEC Willies Mchunu is due to address the media today.
Transport authorities accompanied by leadership in the area will also visit the accident scene, the uMhlali police station to see the wreckage and conclude with a visit to Stanger Hospital to see the survivors.
Last night the MEC expressed his shock according to the department the taxi driver lost control of the vehicle before the crash.
