Local celeb chef set for East Coast Radio House & Garden Show
Updated | By Staff Writer
MasterChef winner and Durbanite Roxi Wardman (pictured) will debut her Captain’s Champagne Cheese Cake, with a Cherry Brandy Compote at the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show.
Inspired by the Vodacom Durban July theme ‘Captain’s Table’ her bespoke recipe will be presented in a toppled over clip jar.
“Half of the crumbs will be inside the jar and half out. I’ll also pipe the cheese cake to match. I want to get the effect of the ocean washing up on the shore” said Wardman.
“My inspiration to create the dish is because you always have champagne to drink at a captain’s table and the jar represents a ship in a bottle.”
Wardman will be creating her dish on Sunday June 28 from 4-5pm at The Kitchen Studio Celebrity Chef Kitchen supported by Defy.
