Woman seriously injured after her car rolls over her three times!
That just sounds terrible...
One of the most important things we learn as drivers is to make sure our car handbrake is up when we are stationery on a hill.
Because the repercussions of a rolling car can be devastating. And they don't just affect the driver or the occupants of the vehicle, but others who may be around the car.
Sadly, this Swiss woman felt the repercussions of not making sure her car was stationery when she parked in a residential area.
A 45-year-old woman who stepped out of her vehicle in St Gallen in northeastern Switzerland is said to have stopped the car to get something out of the trunk (boot), but left the engine on.
"The car was on a slope and began rolling backward, and the woman tried and failed to stop it from rolling away." (Business Insider)
Thereafter she fell to the ground and was run over for the first time.
"The car then hit another vehicle and rebounded back towards her, running her over for the second time. The car then hit a sidewalk and came back to run her over a third time, according to police." (Business Insider)

What are the chances that the car would run over her not once, not twice, but three times?
We would say slim to none, but these things are known to happen. Expecting the best is one thing but being prepared for the worst is probably the best option.
The thing about it is not that we must be in control of everything, but rather that we must be prepared for anything.
